First Visit

We’re excited to have you join us at Parker Wentz Orthodontics! As soon as you arrive, please check in with our receptionist, who will ensure everything is ready for your visit.

During this appointment, Dr. Parker Wentz will perform a detailed orthodontic evaluation and personally review the findings with you and your family.

What to Expect During Your Initial Exam

Your first visit is all about understanding your needs and answering key questions, such as:

  • Are there any orthodontic concerns that need attention?
  • When would be the ideal time to start treatment?
  • Which treatment options are the most suitable?
  • How long will the treatment process take?
  • What will the treatment cost?

Next Steps: Preparing for Treatment

Should treatment be recommended after your initial evaluation, we will make every effort to begin treatment that same day!

What Are Diagnostic Records?

Diagnostic records help us design the most effective treatment plan for you. These records include:

  • Scans to create study models of your teeth.
  • Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays, to assess jaw and tooth alignment.
  • A comprehensive analysis by the doctor to determine the ideal approach for your care.

Understanding the Cost of Treatment

The cost of orthodontic care varies depending on the complexity of the case. During your first visit, our treatment coordinator will go over the fees, discuss available payment plans, and answer your financial questions.

We’re committed to making orthodontic care affordable for everyone by offering flexible payment options and accepting most insurance plans. Your smile is worth it!

What’s Included in Your Treatment Investment?

Your investment covers everything needed to achieve a beautiful smile, including:

  • Diagnostic Records: X-rays, models, and growth studies that provide a foundation for creating your personalized treatment plan.
  • Active Treatment: Whether you choose braces or clear aligners, this includes all office visits, appliances, and procedures. Our appliances are durable and designed to last the entire treatment, provided they are properly cared for.
  • Final Retainers: At the end of your comprehensive (Phase II) treatment, you’ll receive one set of retainers to maintain your results. Additional retainers can be purchased if needed.

What’s Not Included in Your Investment?

While your treatment plan is comprehensive, there are a few exceptions:

  • Any dental procedures performed outside our office.
  • Additional costs for injuries or complications, such as TMJ issues or orthognathic surgery.

Making the Most of Your Insurance

We’re happy to work with most insurance plans and accept assignment of benefits to help minimize your out-of-pocket expenses. If we’re unable to accept direct payment from your insurer, we’ll gladly assist in filing claims so you can be reimbursed.

If there’s any change to your insurance policy during treatment, please notify us right away so we can update your contract accordingly.

Office Hours and Scheduling

We respect your time and work hard to ensure your appointments run smoothly. To keep our schedule on track, we ask that all patients arrive promptly for their appointments.

Each visit is carefully planned to allow time for necessary procedures, updates on your treatment progress, and any questions you may have. Your punctuality helps us provide the best care for you and all our patients. Thank you for your cooperation!
